Lumestone

Families are asking for this. Now you can offer it.

A QR code engraved into the stone that opens the person's photos, videos and life story. You sell it at your price — your first 3 codes are free, and there's no contract.

How it works

Register with your email — it takes a minute, and your first 3 codes are ready immediately. Download the engraving file (SVG, EPS, PDF or DXF; works with laser, CNC and sandblast stencils) and engrave it like any other artwork. The family scans the code and builds the page themselves — photos, videos, voice recordings, the life story. Your work is done at the engraving.

The math

You charge the family your own price — typically somewhere between $149 and $249. Lumestone takes a flat $49 per activated code; you keep the rest. A conservative example: 20 codes a year at about $150 margin each is roughly $3,000 of extra margin on engraving work you're already set up for. Unused codes are never billed.

The file

If your machine can engrave a rosette, it can engrave this.

Will this still work in 20 years?

The code is engraved — it belongs to the stone and to the family, permanently. Partner codes carry no subscription for the family: the one-time setup covers the page, so there is no renewal for anyone to forget. And the family keeps full ownership of their photos and stories.

Questions, answered

Is there a contract or a minimum order?
No. There's no contract, no minimum and no sales call. You register with your email, you get 3 codes, and whether you ever order a fourth is entirely up to you.
What does the family pay?
Nothing to Lumestone. You set your own price for the engraved code, and that's the only bill the family sees. The one-time setup covers their page — there's no subscription on partner codes.
What if a family doesn't want it?
Then nothing happens. Codes sitting in a drawer cost you nothing, so you offer it only when it fits the family and the stone.
Can I put my own logo on the page?
Yes. In the partner portal you can set your logo and your color, and the memorial pages your codes open carry a small “in partnership with” line with your name on it.
Who owns the memorial page?
The family. They build it, they decide what's public and what's private, and their photos and stories belong to them. Your responsibility ends at the engraving.
What happens if I stop offering it?
Existing codes keep working. Stopping just means you don't hand out new ones — nothing changes for the families you've already served.
What guarantees that the page stays online?
Three things. Every activated page comes with a written 25-year availability guarantee. The family can export their photos and stories at any time. And should Lumestone ever wind down, pages are preserved as a static archive for the remainder of the guarantee — serving a finished page costs cents a year, which is why we can make this promise.
How do I get more codes after the free 3?
From the partner portal, whenever you need them. A code costs a flat $49, paid right in the portal — the new code and its engraving files appear moments after checkout. You only buy when a family has ordered, so there's nothing to stock.
